P: Tell us shortly how did you start your way in the world of social?
С: I have always been into fashion, a few years before I had a couple of friends say that I should use Insta to push the boundaries of my style, so I became intrigued by how I could start my journey on social media, one day I thought I am just going to start and used the correct #s at the time and the response was great. Since then I have found constancy is key and engaging with others with a similar interest is always good.
P: When did you realize that you have your tribe (kinda woke up famous)?
С: After my first flatlay got re grammed on a page at the time that had 100k + followers - I gained about 1500 followers from that and that inspired me to push my flatlays at the time.
P: When did you have your 1st collaboration (paid or barter)? How many followers did you have back then?
С: Think my first collab was around the 2000 mark, it was a contra collaboration and from there gave me a bit of a confident boost to start approaching brands. A lot of rejections in the early days but never stopped me.
P: Your best and worst collaboration experiences and why (you don’t have to call the name of brand)
С: My best have been recent if I'm honest and have been lucky enough to fly overseas with 2 separate brands this year. I can be quite picky with the work I do and if I am approached and feel it's not going to be a smooth collab I'll generally turn it down so no bad collabs.
P: Who makes photos for you? How do you edit your pictures?
С: I have a few friends that are great photographers, so if the times right I'll tee up a shoot and coffee with them, if not most photos my girlfriend takes on the go.
P: You think pictures or captions are more important?
С: Photos - but then a funny caption will always gain likes.
P: How do you cope with negative comments or critique on your social accounts?
С: Just delete them… jokes. I very rarely get negative feedback if I do ill address the situation or just laugh at the person I mean haters gon hate right?…
P: How to become an influencer — your personal recipe, given the hot new social trends.
С: I think just find your own unique style, hobbies, interest… Instagram has something for everyone it's amazing! Create great content, engage with others and just enjoy it. At the end of the day if you get 10 likes or 10,000 likes its all just numbers, as long as you are happy with your work who cares…don't take it to seriously and be you!
